Answer
The Eastern Transport Plan (ETP) 2035 is being developed in close alignment with the Local Development Plans (LDPs) for the councils of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Ards and North Down, Belfast City, Lisburn and Castlereagh, and Mid and East Antrim.
As Belfast City Council’s LDP is the most advanced, the first iteration of the ETP will focus on the Belfast City Centre Transport Plan and the Metropolitan Area Transport Plan. A draft of these elements of the ETP will be published for public consultation in the coming months.
Given the differing timescales for the preparation and adoption of the remaining councils’ LDPs, the remaining iterations of the ETP will be published in line with each council’s LDP timetable. These timetables are published on respective council websites.
