Answer
The Executive Office (TEO) remains committed to the effective implementation of equality and good relations duties as set out in Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
Each department is individually responsible for meeting these duties, with oversight provided by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI).
TEO integrates equality considerations into decision making and policy development through screening exercises and, where necessary, Equality Impact Assessments. This work helps with identifying potential impacts and ensuring that opportunities to promote equality and good relations are actively pursued.
TEO continues to work with other government departments and the Equality Commission to strengthen this work and help to deliver positive outcomes for people and communities.
