Answer
My Department works collaboratively with Councils to deliver Urban Regeneration projects, such as Public Realm Schemes, in urban towns and city centres, with a policy focus on urban settlements with a population of 5,000 or more.
Moira has a population of less than 5,000 residents so a Public Realm Scheme would fall under the remit of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.
Uneven pavement surfaces are the responsibility of Department for Infrastructure which is responsible for making sure pavements are free from trip hazards and other defects as far as reasonably practical for public safety reasons.
