Answer
The Education Authority (EA) has advised that pupils with a statement of special educational needs (SEN) have their additional transport requirements identified during their statutory assessment.
If, outside the statutory assessment process, a pupil with a statement of SEN develops a new medical need, or changes to their medical condition that may impact their transport requirements, parents are advised to contact the child’s SEN Link Officer in the first instance and provide relevant medical evidence for their consideration.
