Answer
The Education Authority has advised that the number of children who applied through the competitive admissions processes and are still to secure a school place for the next school year is as follows:
Four children seeking a P1 place.
21 children seeking a Year 8 place.
Five children seeking a 14+ place, as part of the Dickson Plan transfer process.
The Education Authority will continue to engage and assist parents secure placement for September 2026.
The Education Authority has also advised that updated figures on the number of children with a statement of special educational needs who remain without a school place for September 2026 is due to be published shortly.
