Answer
In relation to the planned active travel improvements between Moira and Moira train station, design development is at an early stage and engagement with stakeholders and the public will commence once plans are suitably developed. A typical scheme of this nature can take a number of years to design, and meaningful engagement with the public throughout the design process is crucial if we want to deliver high quality infrastructure that will be welcomed by users and the community. At this stage it is too early to provide an accurate timeline as to when public engagement will take place.
Future investment in significant active travel infrastructure improvements will be prioritised primarily in line with the emerging Active Travel Delivery Plan. There are currently no plans to improve active travel infrastructure between Maghaberry and Moira Train Station.
