Answer
The Eastern Transport Plan is the largest of the local transport plans and will integrate with the Local Development Plans of the Antrim and Newtownabbey; Ards and North Down; Belfast; Lisburn and Castlereagh; and Mid and East Antrim councils.
Due to the five local council areas being at different stages in their Local Development Plans, the Eastern Transport Plan will therefore be published in iterations. As Belfast City Council is most advanced, the first iteration will cover the Belfast City Centre Transport Plan and Metropolitan Area Transport Plan.
A draft of these elements of the ETP is being prepared with the intention that the draft will be ready for public consultation early in the New Year.
