Answer
My Department has been operating in a difficult financial environment for a number of years due to underfunding and austerity by the British Government and this has had a significant impact on its ability to deliver essential services such as road maintenance.
There are many roads that would undoubtedly benefit from investment, including those in Moira Village, however, due to a limited budget, resurfacing work must be taken forward through the prioritisation of those deemed most in need of intervention.
Details of the resurfacing work carried out in Moira is provided in the Department’s Annual Reports to Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council. These reports can be viewed on the Department’s website www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/publications
