To ask the Minister of Health (i) when he will outline his plans following the consultation on a Regional Obesity Management Service; and (ii) why there is a delay in action following the consultation closing.

Last year my Department completed a public consultation on the proposed introduction of a Regional Obesity Management Service (ROMS), which would provide a means for people living with obesity in NI to access treatment and specialist support which is not currently available to them.

I am currently considering the analysis of the responses received and potential next steps in the context of the difficult financial position my Department must operate within. Decisions regarding future development of this service will be based on consideration of the evidence presented, availability of resources, and competing priorities.
