Answer
A working group has been established, which includes representation from my department, the Education Authority (EA), Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta (CnAG) and Altram, to examine the gaps in current services to support children with special educational needs (SEN) in Irish-medium education (IME) settings and develop a range of costed, evidence-based and co-designed solutions to address any such gaps.
This work will inform decisions on the delivery of bespoke services, subject to budget considerations.
