Answer
Education Authority (EA) staff and contractors worked extremely hard to protect the schools’ estate and ensure those schools which incurred damage could reopen safely and as quickly as possible.
Remedial works to repair damaged buildings will be ongoing in some schools for several weeks.
The EA and the Department will continue to liaise with schools to provide support and ensure that any outstanding repairs or replacements are progressed as quickly as possible.
