Answer

The management of public wastewater infrastructure is an operational matter for NI Water. However, I have sought the requested information from NI Water and have been advised as follows:

NI Water has no capital investment planned for Dromara within the current Price Control 21 period (2021/22 - 2026/27). A detailed appraisal study is required to assess the engineering options to address properties affected by internal flooding. NI Water plans to commence this study in 2025/26, subject to the availability of funding. Any capital investment options subsequently identified, will be considered during the company’s prioritisation process for its Price Control 27 Business Plan, which covers the period 2027/28 - 2032/33.

For any future queries relating to operational matters, you should contact NI Water directly, through the Elected Representatives Hotline on 0345 300 6461 or through waterline@niwater.com

Making direct contact with NI Water will ensure that you receive the information in the shortest possible timeframe and make best use of limited public resources.
