Answer
For the 2024/2025 financial year, the Department for the Economy has provided £1.7m funding for the provision of English for Speakers of Other Languages to Further Education colleges as part of their overall 2024/2025 resource budget allocation. However, it is not possible to determine how much of this funding is specifically allocated to deliver classes to people seeking asylum who speak another language as the Department does not hold this information.
